SCIENCE
Science is an area that is investigated throughout all year levels. Students are engaged through hands on activities and experiments that help them explore, question and explain the world around them. Teachers at Moomba Park use the e5 instructional model and incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) challenges to allow students to solve problems and work with others which is a necessary skill to learn to help them succeed in the future.
Throughout our units of study students explore earth and space, chemical, physical and biological science with an understanding of science as a human endeavour. Students are given opportunities to research and design their own experiments, test their hypotheses and make conclusions based upon the data and observations they have collected.
Science provides students with the opportunity to be fully immersed in the learning experience and encourages their curiosity to wonder, explore and explain natural phenomena in the world around them.
