At Moomba Park Primary School, students from Foundation to Grade 6 enjoy a unique program that combines Visual Arts and Italian language studies in a 60-minute weekly session. This Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach lets students learn arts content while immersing in Italian. Students interact in Italian during activities, routines, and games, and are encouraged to reply in Italian.

Classroom Inquiry topics are woven into the Italian Art program, enriching language immersion. Students experiment with various materials and techniques like drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and construction, learning to use art elements to express ideas.

They study different art styles and historical eras, improving their skills and creativity. Reflection on their own and others' artworks is encouraged, with technology aiding information access and Italian language practice. Their art is showcased and feedback is given through the Italian Art online journal.
